Bob Marley Museum
Bob Marley Mausoleum
About Bob Marley Museum
This tour is dedicated to the man who needs no introduction, the World-Famous Reggae Icon, Bob Marley. There are 3 museums in Jamaica dedicated to The Honourable Robert Nesta Marley, with each highlighting a different aspect of his lifetime. The Nine Mile Museum is located in the parish of St. Ann, and highlights the formative years of the Reggae Legend up to the age of 12. He subsequently moved to Trench Town, where his love for music truly developed and where he began to foster his Rastafarian belief.
The Nine Mile Museum is also the final resting place for Bob Marley as his body lies in a 3ft tall mausoleum in an Ethiopian – styled church. While this museum mainly tells the story of his upbringing, there are also many historical artefacts such as awards, guitars, newspaper clippings etc. which give tribute to his lifetime achievements.
